What is CTOTF?

The Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum (CTOTF) is the longest continuously active gas turbine industry organization driven by users – for users. As we approach our 50th year, we continue to evolve with both the demands of the industry and the workforce that fuels it. Our weeklong conferences (held twice annually in the Spring and Fall) provide a balance of technical information, user to user interaction, and professional development & mentoring across our nation-wide user base.

Our sessions encourage interaction from all attendees and our attendees rarely get lost in the crowd. Our interactive sessions include:

• Opening presentations diving into the direction of the industry
• OEM update presentations
• Topical discussions with third party suppliers/experts
• Technical Education
• Leadership development round tables
• Environmental updates
• Plentiful time in each round table for user-to-user interaction and networking

CTOTF is governed by an Executive Board and Leadership Committee that was created to oversee and expand information and communications within the Power Plant industry. CTOTF™ has a public Website and a Users only Forum Board. Together they provide both necessary communications capabilities as well as assisting CTOTF™ User members with rapid responses to plant performance questions and concerns.

The Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum (CTOTF™) originally known as the Combustion Turbine Operations Task Force, traces its beginnings back to 1975, when a group of gas turbine owner-operators gathered to discuss problems with their General Electric Frame 7 machines.
