Established in 1978 Rochem Technical Services Group celebrates its 42nd anniversary this year. Part of the wider Rochem Worldwide Group, RTS set out to maximise the expanding opportunities in the onshore and oﬀshore industrial gas turbine markets, by delivering in-service, efficiency enhancing systems. In particular, RTS targeted on-line and oﬀ-line compressor cleaning systems and chemicals which helped maintain fuel efficiency and output.
Over 12,000 GTs have been installed with RTS compressor cleaning systems and some 300 installs per annum now taking place. Four strategic subsidiaries delivering excellent customer service and support. RTS is committed to delivering excellent customer services and comprehensive support.
To enable this there are four strategically subsidiaries in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Asia. Meanwhile the manufacture of associated chemicals is located at Rochem's chemical blending facility near Rotterdam.
The rapid development of the UK's offshore oil and gas industry through the 1980's brought a signiﬁcant boost to RTS' market prospects as large capacity gas turbines began to be installed in large numbers aboard offshore production rigs. The demand for reliable outputs meant that the need to maintain internal cleanliness, thermal efﬁciency and power became high priority. The alternative was to allow the turbines to gradually lose between ﬁve and 10% power.

These three main principles have been applied from the first wash on an aircraft APU to our current process compressor cleaning system designs.
Our range of products enable us to provide solutions to our customers' varied requirements. We design and manufacture all of our nozzle specialist systems at our headquarters in Winchester, UK. Here we have the facilities to perform comprehensive design using the latest development and analytical software together with in-house testing and measurement of the ﬁnal design. Working closely with our customers' we develop low risk solutions to the harshest environments.
Delivery systems for all of the nozzle systems - gas turbine and process cleaning together with on-wing aviation engine cleaning systems are also designed and manufactured at our base in the UK. Elsewhere within the Rochem group we design and manufacture a unique range of the water treatment systems. All cleaning applications require specialist chemicals to provide excellent cleaning results while complimenting the environment and process conditions. The full range of FYREWASH® cleaning chemicals are manufactured at our facility on Rotterdam Netherlands.
We are currently undertaking a partnership with Portsmouth University a programme to develop and test foulant recovered from the process in order to provide our customers with the best cleaning chemicals for each application.
With 40 years in the gas turbine and process compressor cleaning business we have installed more than 12000 gas turbine cleaning systems and almost 100 process compressor cleaning nozzles world-wide. Our range of FYREWASH® cleaning chemicals have been developed to meet the stringent requirements of the gas turbine manufacturers.
As a key supplier to many of the OEM’s (Siemens, GE, Kawasaki, Solar and Dresser Rand to name a few) - both gas turbines and process compressor - the majority of our systems have been installed to new equipment directly with the OEM. Accreditation for our business processes meet ISO9001 and ISO14001 ensuring complete traceability and quality control of all of our product range.
